The Oregon State Beavers will begin their postseason journey this weekend at the Corvallis Regional with hopes of making a long-awaited return to the College World Series.

The No. 1-seeded Beavers will host No. 4 Tulane at Goss Stadium at 6 p.m. on Friday. On the other side of the region, No. 2 UC Irvine will face off with No. 3 Nicholls State.

The Beavers are coming off an up and down showing at the Pac-12 Tournament after failing to advance out of pool play.

Bottom of the ninth inning — Oregon State 10, Tulane 4

Nelson Keljo got the first out of the inning, and then the Beavers turned to all-conference closer Bridger Holmes for the final two outs of the game to seal the win.

Nelson Keljo cruised through 2.2 innings on 35 pitches, but Oregon State just opted to pull him with one out in the ninth inning. The Beavers then turned to all-conference closer Bridger Holmes for the final two outs.

Bottom of the eighth inning — Oregon State 10, Tulane 4

Travis Bazzana launched a towering solo home run that traveled an estimated 446 feet. It's his 27th long ball of the year.

Micah McDowell followed with a hard-hit single up the middle and then stole second, and Gavin Turley walked to force a Tulane pitching change. The Green Wave turned to sophom*ore lefty Tayler Montiel.

Nelson Keljo stayed on and struck out the first two batters of the inning. Then, he got the third out on a slick play at third from Jabin Trosky to retire the Green Wave in order.

Beavers' freshman Trent Caraway got his second hit of the night — an RBI single through the left side — to tack on another run for OSU.

Dallas Macias got the inning started with a double down the right field line.

Top of the seventh inning — Oregon State 8, Tulane 4

Beavers' reliever Nelso Keljo escaped a jam by striking out the final two batters of the inning to hold Tulane in check.

Bottom of the sixth inning — Oregon State 8, Tulane 4

Micah McDowell smashed a two-run single to left field to double Oregon State's lead.

Top of the sixth inning — Oregon State 6, Tulane 4

Tulane's Colin Tuft hit a moon shot home run to left field to lead off the inning and trim Oregon State's lead. Aiden May battled back to get the first two outs of the inning, and then Oregon State turned to its bullpen with May's pitch count sitting at 106.

Sophom*ore lefty Nelson Keljo came on in relief and produced a pop-up to end the frame.

May's fine line is as follows: 5.2 inning, 5 hits, 4 runs, 3 earned run, 4 walks, 9 strikeouts.

Bottom of the 5th inning — Oregon State 6, Tulane 3

Tanner Smith drew a leadoff walk, and Travis Bazzana and Micah McDowell followed with hard-hit single to load the bases for the Beavers.

Then, Gavin Turley stepped to the plate and launched a grand slam on the first pitch he saw to send the Goss Stadium crowd into a frenzy.

Dallas Macias followed Turley's dinger with a single up the middle and Tulane opted to lift starter Chandler Welch and turn to right-handed reliever Henry Shuffler. He retired the next three batters in order.

OSU starter Aiden May racked up his eighth and ninth strikeouts of the night while delivering another 1-2-3 frame. He has now thrown 91 pitches.

Bottom of the 4th inning — Tulane 3, Oregon State 2

Tulane retired Oregon State's Elijah Hainline, Trent Caraway, and Mason Guerra in order.

Top of the 4th inning — Tulane 3, Oregon State 2

Tulane's Marcus Cline smashed a one out double off the right field wall to get the Green Wave going in the fourth. But the big hit was negated by a heads-up play from OSU shortstop Elijah Hainline, who fielded a sharp grounder and threw Cline out while he was trying to advance to third.

Aiden May then struck out leadoff man Connor Rasmussen to end the inning.

Bottom of the 3rd inning — Tulane 3, Oregon State 2

Tulane starter Chandler Welch worked a 1-2-3 inning to hold the Beavers' bats silent in the third.

Aiden May struck out two more batters and worked around a two-out walk to produce a scoreless inning.

Bottom of the 2nd inning — Tulane 3, Oregon State 2

Mason Guerra gave the Beavers a much-needed spark with a two-run double to right field to cut Tulane's lead to 3-2.

Oregon State had a chance to level the score with runners in the corners and No. 2 hitter Micah McDowell up later in the inning. But Chandler Welch forced a weak groundout to escape the jam.

Top of the 2nd inning — Tulane 3, Oregon State 0

Tulane took advantage of some poor command from OSU starter Aiden May to get on the board first. The Green Wave drew back-to-back walks to open the inning, then loaded the bases on Colin Tuft's bunt single. Matthias Haas followed with a soft groundball to second and Travis Bazzana made an error while attempting to turn a double play that resulted in a run.

Two batters later, Connor Rasmussen hit a two-run chopper to right field to push Tulane's lead to 3-0.

May eventually ended the inning with a 1-6-3 double play on a comebacker.

Micah McDowell smashed a one-out single up the middle for the Beavers' first hit of the night. But he was left stranded.

Oregon State starter Aiden May struck out Tulane's first two batters of the night, and did so on just seven pitches. After issuing a two-out walk to Brady Marget, he struck out cleanup man Gavin Shulz swinging to end the frame.
